On the evening of June 8, presenters from a myriad of professions came to Ecoff Elementary School’s Career Fair to share information about their chosen career with students, according to information from teacher Jeanne Hensel.
Rob Ukrop kicked off the evening with a talk on the importance of education to a person’s future, Hensel said. The students and parents moved from presenter to presenter, learning about the various jobs and their education requirements.
Students were encouraged to ask pertinent questions of the presenters. At the end of the Career Fair, each child completed a “resume” that gave them a chance to reflect on their own interests and talents and the professions that most interested them, Hensel said.
