Chester residents earn honors at VT

Several area students were named to the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Commandant’s List for the spring 2010 semester, according to information from the school.

In order to make the list, cadets must earn a 3.0 or greater grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the previous semester. For the spring 2010 semester, 395 cadets were selected for the Commandant’s List, according to the school.

Area residents who earned spots on the list include:

  • Jonathan Foglietti, of Chester. Foglietti, an Army cadet, is a junior majoring in history in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
  • Michael Foglietti, of Chester. Foglietti, an Air Force cadet, is a senior majoring in mathematics in the College of Science.
  • Katherine Henderson, of Chester. Henderson, a Navy cadet, is a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering.
