Local dealership donates money, equipment to area little leagues

Heritage Chevrolet - Chester, one of seven area Chevrolet dealers that partnered with local youth baseball leagues for the 2010 baseball season, raised nearly $23,100 in donations from the dealership and private parties, according to a press release from the business.

In addition to monetary support, Heritage Chevrolet - Chester provided Central Chesterfield Little League and Chesterfield Little League with equipment donations, an opportunity to raise and keep up to $10,000 through a fundraiser and participation in a baseball clinic led by Richmond Flying Squirrels.

The dealership partnered with the Central Chesterfield Little League and Chesterfield Little League because of the league’s proximity to the dealership.  Donated equipment included equipment bags, ball buckets, coach’s clipboards and t-shirts. In addition, the dealership helped donate a vehicle to be used as a fundraiser by the league.  The winner of the fundraiser got to choose one of two vehicles.
