At its Sept. 21 meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. and take place in the Public Meeting Room of the County Administration Building, located at 10001 Iron Bridge Road, the Planning Commission will hold public hearings on the following matters:

  • In the Bermuda District, Ellmer Properties request conditional use planned development and amendment of the zoning district map to permit exceptions to ordinance requirements relative to signage in a general business (C-5) district on 7 acres fronting 770 feet on the east line of Interstate 95, 1,200 feet south of Ruffin Mill Road. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for general commercial use.
  • In the Bermuda District, Richmond 20 MHz LLC requests amendment of zoning (Case 95SN0214) plus conditional use and amendment of the zoning district map to permit a communications tower in agricultural (A) and general business (C-5) districts on 1.1 acres fronting 20 feet on the south line of East Hundred Road, 740 feet east of Rivers Bend Boulevard. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for neighborhood mixed use.
  • In the Matoaca District, Debra C. Osterbind and Ronnie Osterbind request conditional use and amendment of the zoning district map to permit a business (commercial kennel) incidental to a dwelling in an agricultural (A) district on 34.5 acres known as 15725 North Rhodes Lane.  The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for residential use of 1-5 acre lots; suited to R-88 zoning.
  • In the Bermuda District, Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation requests substantial accord determination and amendment of the zoning district map to permit a park in agricultural (A), general business (C-5) and general industrial (I-2) districts on 543.7 acres located at the southern terminus of Continental Boulevard, south of Ruffin Mill Road. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for light industrial use.

At an adjourned meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Administration Building, 10001 Iron Bridge Road, the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the following matter:

  • An ordinance amendment that would waive some planning fees until June 30, 2011.

The proposed ordinance amendment and information concerning the documentation for the proposed fee, levy, increase and/or reduction are available for examination by the public in the Planning Department at the Chesterfield County Community Development Building and at the County Administrator’s Office (Room 505) at the Chesterfield County Administration Building, for public examination during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
