Ebony Patterson

EBONY PATTERSON
L. C. Bird 2007
Virginia Commonwealth University - Basketball

Ebony has found her way into the starting line-up for the CAA’s first-place Rams.  With 18 starts to her credit, the 5-foot-7-inch junior guard is now averaging six points per ballgame.  Ebony recently logged 36 minutes in the Rams blowout 75-56 victory in Norfolk over perennial power ODU.  Ebony is beginning to show the flashes that made her the Central Region Player of the Year and an all-state performer as a Sky Hawk.

Aramis Massenburg

ARAMIS MASSENBURG
Mataoca 2007
Norfolk State University - Track and Field

One of the area’s premier hurdlers, Massenburg has run the second fastest 60m Hurdle time this winter with a 7.94-second clocking at Virginia Tech in January.  The Spartan junior ranks as one of the finest track athletes in Matoaca history and is carrying those performances to the college level.  This spring, Aramis hopes to improve upon 13.98-second NCAA qualifying time in the 110m Hurdles that he posted as a freshman.

Justin Harper

JUSTIN HARPER
Meadowbrook 2007
University of Richmond - Basketball

The 6-foot-10-inch Spider junior is averaging double figures in scoring this season and leads the team with an average of five-and-a-half rebounds per game.  Justin is especially valuable as an offensive rebounder.  His 40 steals ranks second on the team.  In 12 games this season, Justin has led the Spiders in either scoring or rebounding.  He recently enjoyed a career high 24 points vs. UNC-Charlotte.  The Spider’s are 22-6 and ranked No. 25 in the nation,  which puts them in a great position for an at-large NCAA berth.
