Thieves take tax software

Three Chesterfield County Target stores experienced similar and unusual shopliftings, and police are seeking the suspects.

The Target stores at 11301 Midlothian Turnpike, 4601 Commonwealth Center Parkway and 201 Perimeter Street, in Westchester Commons, all reported that two black males and one black female worked together to steal approximately 90 copies of Turbo Tax Deluxe software.  The value was more than $5,000.

The suspect who first walked into the store was a heavy-set black male, 40-50 years old, wearing jeans, a white, V-neck T-shirt and a dark jacket.  He had a full beard and eyeglasses, as well.  The second male suspect was 20-30 years old.  He wore eyeglasses, a black do-rag, dark pants and a dark blue jacket with a black and grey sleeveless coat over the jacket.  The female suspect was heavyset, 40-50 years old, wearing red pants, a red sweatshirt, with a blue and grey sleeveless coat over the sweatshirt.  She also had eyeglasses, but she wore them on her forehead.  The three left the lot in a large white van.  For images of the suspects and their vehicle, visit and select the “Crime of the Week” link on the left side of the page.
