While Jermon Rasheem Woodson-Jones, 21, was arrested last month, after turning himself in, on warrants for gang participation and accessory after the fact, a second man 18-year-old Jermaine Powell, was arrested and charged with gang participation. According to police, gang participation is a charge in which police can show a group acting as a gang and one or more of the group have committed an offense which can be defined as a felony that tends to benefit the gang. Then police charge all associates who are present or participating with gang participation.
