Police Blotter: September 16, 2009

POINTER TR 8/20 Huntingcreek Hills. Unknown suspect stole the HVAC unit from outside of the residence.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 8/27 Virginia Automotive Services. Unknown suspect attempted to enter a locked black Lincoln LS. At this time, nothing was reported stolen.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 8/27 Garlitz Concrete. Property reported stolen from the bed of the company’s truck.


BRITTONWOOD DR 8/28 Brittonwood. Unknown suspect/s entered the victim’s garage/shed through a window. The suspect/s also entered multiple vehicles in the area. Property was removed from the vehicles, but nothing appeared to be missing from the structure.


CHALKLEY RD 8/28 Suspect/s entered the victim’s unlocked barn and took the property from inside.


COXENDALE RD 8/28 Dominion Virginia Power. Unknown suspect/s entered the unsecured building and attempted to gain entry to the drink machines, but were unsuccessful. Suspect/s were successful in gaining entry to a snack machine and removed food from inside.


CRICKLEWOOD DR 8/28 South Pointe Landing Apartments. Victim was outside his apartment, talking on his cell phone, when the suspect walked past him. The suspect then turned back to the victim and, placing a gun to his forehead, demanded the victim’s money. The suspect went through the victim’s pockets, taking the items, and then ran off.


GALENA AVE 8/28 Quail Oaks. Front bumper reported stolen from a black 1997 Honda Civic. Vehicle was parked in the victim’s backyard.


MEADOWDALE BL 8/28 Meadowdale Lake Apartments. Unknown suspect/s entered victim’s unlocked utility room and made a hole in the adjoining living room wall to enter the interior. Once inside, suspect/s removed the property and then exited through the rear sliding glass door.


MEADOWDALE BL 8/28 Regency Lake Apartments. Witnesses observed a suspicious individual pour an accelerant onto the dock, then set it on fire.


WILLIS RD 8/28 Bellwood Manor. Victim reported that unknown suspect/s gained entry to the residence through a front window and stole property from inside.


BENSLEY PARK BL 8/29 Winchester Green Apartments. Entry was gained to the apartment through the front door, which was found open. No signs of force were noticed, possibly indicating a key was used. Clothing was discovered missing.


BRANDERS BRIDGE RD 8/29 Suspect/s cut the lock from the residential shed and removed property from inside.


HOPKINS RD 8/29 Unlocked 1999 Isuzu Rodeo reported stolen from the victim’s driveway.


JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 8/29 Shady Hill Trailer Park. Suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the victim’s trailer and demanded her cash. The victim refused and a struggle ensued. The struggle continued outside, where the suspect threatened to shoot the victim if she did not hand over her cash. The victim again refused and the suspect ran off. Responding officers located the suspect and took him into custody.


MALCOLM DR 8/29 Greenleigh Mobile Homes. Property reported stolen from a locked black 1998 Honda Accord.


OAK RIVER CT 8/29 Eagle Cove. Unlocked 2005 GMC entered and the property was reported stolen.


MEADOWOOD LN 8/30 Carter’s Run. Property reported stolen from an unlocked red 1995 Jeep Cherokee. Vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence.


WENTWORTH ST 8/30 Lafayette Apartments. Property reported stolen from victim’s unlocked vehicle.


WOODPECKER RD 8/30 Village Commons Shopping Center. iPod reported stolen from an
unlocked gold 2004 Honda.


STANLEY DR 8/31 Meadow Ridge. Suspect/s attempted to kick in the rear door of the residence, but was/were unsuccessful. The suspect/s then broke the glass out of the rear door in order to reach through and unlock the door and then gain entry. The interior was rummaged through, but nothing appeared to be missing.


CHERRY HILL PARK AVE 9/01 Winchester Green Apartmetns. Unknown suspect/s attempted to gain entry to the residence through the front door, which had been splintered in the attempt.


COLLINDALE RD 9/01 Heritage Court Apartments. Victim and friends were in a vehicle that had stopped around the address when unknown suspect fired multiple shots in the area. The victim was struck in the leg by a bullet and was transported by friends to the hospital, where the police were then contacted.


COSMIC RD 9/01 Regency Lake Apartments. Forcible entry to the apartment through the front window where the A/C unit was pushed in. Nothing was taken from the residence. Suspect/s exited through the rear sliding glass doors.


IRON BRIDGE RD 9/01 Southside Baptist Church. Fire discovered in the area of a storage building outside of the church.


LAUREL RD 9/01 Unknown suspect/s broke out a rear window in order to gain entry to the residence. The interior was rummaged through and property was stolen.


RETRIEVER RD 9/01 Huntingcreek Hills. License plates reported stolen from a red 1993 Honda Civic.


RIVERTERRACE RD 9/01 River Road Terrace Apartments. Unknown suspect/s gained entry
to the apartment through the front door, where pry marks were found around the handle. Property was stolen from throughout.


SHILOH DR 9/01 Centralia Gardens. Property was stolen from the victim’s unlocked shed.


ASHWOOD RD 9/02 Quail Oaks. Property reported stolen from an unlocked Jeep, which was parked in the victim’s driveway.


MEADOWDALE BL 9/02 Regency Lake Apartments. Two suspects were seen attempting to light a fire in the wooded area behind the apartments.


NEWBYS BRIDGE RD 9/02 Unsecured purple 1999 Saturn entered and the property was reported stolen.


WILLIS RD 9/02 Econo Travel Motel. Property reported stolen from an unlocked 1994 Toyota Camry.


ASHWOOD RD 9/03 Quail Oaks. Three unlocked vehicles were entered; at this time, nothing was reported stolen.


BAYVIEW DR 9/03 Jessup Farms. Property reported stolen from an unlocked green 1999 Dodge Intrepid. Vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence.


FALLING CREEK AVE 9/03 Entry gained to two separate residences on Falling Creek Ave. Entry to one residence was gained via an unlocked rear sliding glass door. No signs of forced entry were noted to the second residence, which had been locked. However, the front door was found ajar.


JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 9/03 Suspect observed inside the victim’s tractor trailer. Property was reported stolen.


MERIDIAN AVE 9/03 Rear license plate reported stolen from a white 1997 Ford F250. Vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence.


METRO CT 9/03 Kingsland Commercial Park. Suspect entered two vehicles parked at the location and removed property from one. The hasp on the gate securing the rear parking lot was pried and entry gained to a utility trailer parked within the fence. Numerous tools were removed from the trailer.


RIVER’S BEND BLVD 9/03  Locked silver 2004 GMC Yukon Denali entered and the property was reported stolen.


ROWANTY CT 9/03 Rowanty Court Apartments. Victim was shot by unknown assailant at the location.


S GENERAL BLVD 9/03 Central Park. Two unlocked vehicles were entered and the property was reported stolen.
