Scholarship recipients hope for regular reunion

Cline Appliances was a fixture in the Chester community for many, many years. The Cline family was as much a part of the community, as was Magee’s Pharmacy or the Chesterfield Bank. The appliance business is gone from Chester now but its legacy lives on through the Panchita Cline Scholarship at Thomas Dale High School.

Last week, six recipients of the scholarship met at the Chesterfield Center for the Arts office to plant the seeds of a camaraderie that Hugh Cline, who initiated the scholarship in his mother’s name, would like to see among those who excelled to meet the scholarship criteria.
