Max is changing with the fall season

Hello and welcome back to the start of Fall in the Dogpound.  It is that time of the year when the leaves start to change colors, but I never expected Max to join them.  Max is basically a black dog with markings on his face and legs…and about the only time this changes is when I have him shaved for Summer. When Max is shaved his light undercoat comes through and he becomes more of a grayish-black dog until it grows out a bit.  But this year I have noticed a light burnt-brown showing up on his shoulders and along his back to his tail.  Kind of makes me wonder if Max snuck off to the beauty parlor and got some highlights added to his hair.  I am going to have to go check my little nest egg that I keep in the kitchen drawer for emergencies and see if that has been raided by “you know who.”  Not sure why he would want to do that except maybe that he is getting older and felt he needed a touch-up to lift his spirits a bit.  I can understand that, as it is that time of the year when once again we acknowledge we have made it through another year and you wonder where the heck the time went.  I do know that I am not going to go out and get some highlights added to my hair, since that would really be a waste of time and money based on the amount of hair I have left.  LOL  I am just going to have to find a different way to recognize this event…probably take a day off from work and sleep in;  now that sounds like a workable plan.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

QUICKIES

  • It is always embarrassing when you are having a conversation in your head with yourself and you realize that you are making faces that go along with the silent conversation.
  • Overheard:  I am pushing 50 and that is enough exercise for me.
  • Overheard: Over the past 20 years I have been on a diet and I have lost a total of 650 pounds….by all accounts I should be invisible about now.
  • If it was not for the fact that the refrigerator and the TV are so far apart, some of us wouldn’t get any exercise at all.

That is it for today.  As always be good, play safe and remember your attitude counts more than your age.
