Chester native to manage college radio station

Oliver Lukas Timmer, a sophomore at Hampden-Sydney College, has been elected general manager of the student-operated radio station WWHS-FM 92.1, according to information from the school. 

Timmer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher B. Timmer of Chester, has worked as a DJ at the radio station since coming to Hampden-Sydney. He is majoring in psychology, and is a member of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the ROTC program.

Founded in 1972 and operating from the historic Carriage House, WWHS broadcasts at 10 watts, reaching the Hampden-Sydney campus and central Prince Edward County.
