Chesterfield County Public Schools and the county’s Board of Supervisors have entered into a partnership to identify Chesterfield as one of the first few communities nationwide to join the “America Goes to College” movement. During the week of Oct. 24-28, all schools/offices will participate in a variety of activities and events to promote a college-going culture and a career readiness focus.
Each day during the “CGCW,” schools will adopt simple ways to send a powerful message to students: finding the right career not only involves matching your interests but also requires lifelong learning. The week will culminate with the annual “College Fairs,” which are to be held at Manchester High School on Sunday, Oct. 30, 4:30-6 p.m., and at
Thomas Dale high School on Monday, Oct. 31, 7-8:30 p.m.
