Bensley Elementary holds SOL trophy ceremony for students

Faculty, staff and administration at Bensley Elementary School held a trophy ceremony last Tuesday evening in the school’s cafeteria to celebrate students who passed their SOLs (Standards of Learning) tests last year. Students had to have a minimum score of 400 to pass the statewide exam.

Among those in attendance were current fourth-, fifth- and returning sixth-graders (those who were fifth-graders last year at Bensley) and their parents. One of whom was fifth-grader Emma McConnell, who landed a perfect 600 on all three of her SOLs last year.
