Man stole engagement ring, wanted

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify a grand larceny suspect.

On Wednesday, Sept. 28, at about 6:55 p.m., a male suspect entered the Reeds Jewelers at Chesterfield Towne Center and stole a ring. The suspect entered the store, approached a salesperson and asked to see an engagement ring. Once the salesperson presented the ring, the suspect took the ring, turned and ran out of the store. The ring’s value is estimated at several thousand dollars.

The suspect is a black male, possibly between 30 and 35 years old. He wore dark blue medical scrubs with a burgundy T-shirt underneath. He had a light mustache and a lazy left eye. A witness may have seen the suspect enter a white Nissan Maxima or Altima with yellow New York State license plates.
