Last week on a warm Thursday morning, carpenters with MGT Construction found themselves in an untenable position. The crew was installing plywood on the truss roof when the trusses began to fall like dominos.
The building is being constructed for the Bank of McKenney adjacent to the Rivers Bend South Shopping Center.
By the time the dust had cleared only one worker was slightly hurt and the rest of the crew came out a little nervous but none less wary.
OSHA was on site but Chesterfield County indicated there was no indication that there was any neglect, and by Thursday afternoon Chesterfield’s fire Marshall said there would be no charges filed.
According to county records, the property is owned by Enon Land Company II, LLC. The company also developed the Rivers Bend South Shopping Center.
