Campaign season is in full swing: Primary election June 12

The Democratic and Republican parties in Virginia will conduct its Primary Elections on Tuesday, June 12. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. All polling places will be open for the 4th and 7th Congressional District Primary.

Due to this year’s new Virginia election laws, there will be dual primaries in the 4th Congressional District. Voters must select the party they wish to vote in – Democratic 4th Congressional District Primary or Republican 4th Congressional District Primary & Republican U. S. Senate Primary. This is where you decide which party you want to be affiliated with.

Area voters will be voting for:

  • 4th Congressional District Democratic Primary Election
  • 4th Congressional District Republican Primary Election
  • 7th Congressional District Republican Primary Election
  • U. S. Senate (statewide) Republican Primary Election

Final day to vote absentee in-person will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Registrar’s Office, 9848 Lori Rd. in Court Square, Chesterfield.
