Chester residents, Jeff Grant, Joe Schelin and Doug Cole took first place in the three different categories as part of the AMSOIL Super Chevy Best of the Best presented by Danchuk and Classic Muscle. The fourth of the 12 Super Chevy shows this year was held at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg on May 18.

This fall, the Chester residents will go up against other winners in their respective categories from the other 11 competitions held this summer at various racetracks across the country. Editors will nominate the five top cars in each of the five categories, and the magazine readers will select their favorites in each class by voting online at http://bestofthebest.superchevy.com.

The catagories  won were:

• Chevy Tri-Five: Jeff Grant with his ’55 210 two-door sedan
• Chevy Camaro: Joe Schelin with his ’68 Camaro
• Chevy Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino: Doug Cole with his ’67 El Camino
