Dr. Robert C. Wichser has been appointed Executive Director for Appomattox River Water Authority and South Central Wastewater Authority.  Wichser assumed these roles on July 9.

The Appomattox River Water Authority and South Central Wastewater Authority serve the cities of Petersburg and Colonial Heights, and the counties of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie and Prince George.  Wichser will oversee the delivery of the highest quality wholesale water and wastewater service to the five municipalities utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment.

Wichser brings more than 25 years of water and wastewater  experience, having held positions in local, state, and federal government, and a private engineer consulting firm.  Most recently, he served as Director, Water & Wastewater at the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority in Charlottesville, Virginia.
