Man Finds Pearl in Oyster at Sibley’s BBQ

A local got more than he bargained for while dining out at Sibley’s BBQ. While sampling one of his wife’s fried oysters, Guy Laine discovered a small pearl. “It was a rare find,” said Laine. The discovery caused quite a sensation Friday night as servers and customers gathered around to see the small-sized pearl.
“It has never happened before in the history of the restaurant,” said server Kari Hughes after calling Charlie and Liz Sibley, owners of Sibley’s BBQ.
Laine added, “I’ve eaten oysters all my life and never found a pearl.” He was dining with his wife, Bonnie and his mother-in-law, Mary Clark.
