Matoaca 14U team wins youth softball tournament

In concluding the spring baseball season, Central Chesterfield Little League (CCLL) hosted its first jamboree to date on Saturday, June 11, helping ballplayers five to 18 showcase their skills acquired during the season. Virginia Credit Union awards scholarships to 7 students

Bobbi Altizer, of Chester, a student at John Tyler Community College, will attend Ferris State University in Michigan due in part to a scholarship from Virginia Credit Union. The credit union awarded college scholarships to seven students in Chesterfield County through its 2011 Dorothy J. Hall Memorial Scholarship Program.
