Olympia Restaurant owner Gerasimos “Jerry” Limperatos’s goal is for his customers to enjoy the richness and splendor of Greek food, but it is also important for him to offer a full Greek dining experience. So diners who visit can enjoy the Mediterranean colors that echo those of the sea and sky painted throughout the dining area. While reviewing the menu one may take notice to the antique chandeliers, baby cherubs painted on the ceiling and the pictures of wonderful Greek landscapes that drape the walls. All of the special touches create an atmosphere of dining in Greece and from the reviews from folks who have dined at Olympia Restaurant Greek and Italian since he opened last month, he has succeeded by leaving a lasting experience and a desire to return to an authentic Greek restaurant that has been considered by one diner, “Chester’s best kept secret.”
The friendly staff at Olympia Restaurant is clearly devoted to each guest and their eating experience that is top notch, but it is always the food that brings customers back. The Greek descendant Limperatos got his first experience in the kitchen from his grandfather and with over 40 years of experience working in the best restaurants from New York to Florida, he has created a menu for Olympia with delicious Greek signature dishes as well as a few Italian classics.

If you are a new comer to Greek cuisine, begin with an appetizer of Domades Avgolemono (fresh grape leaves with seasoned ground beef and rice served warm with lemon sauce or the Oktapodi Psito, grilled octopus served with olive oil, red wine vinegar and caper. Continue the experience with a traditional Greek soup (Avgolemono), made with chicken and lemon juice. Followed by an entrée of Moussaka, baked layers of eggplant, potato and seasoned ground beef, or the Stuffed Chicken, grilled chicken breast stuffed with spinach, feta, and walnuts topped with a silky cream sauce. Top the evening with dessert; a slice of Tiramisu, layers of sponge cake soaked in coffee and brandy with powdered chocolate and mascarpone cheese. This will be a good start to enjoy authentic Greek dishes.
For lunch goers, sandwiches include Gyros, beef and chicken; the Loukaniko sandwich, which is a grilled Greek sausage lightly flavored with orange zest; or you might try the Souvlaki sandwich to name a few. They also have pizza and vegetarian dishes.
Folks might say the location is a little hard to find; they are located in a strip center, next to the Walmart Shopping Center, which can be seen from the roadway, but the entrance is from the rear and in front of American Family Fitness. One diner who discovered the restaurant a couple of weeks ago said, “The food in this restaurant is nothing less than amazing, with perfect Greek seasonings, generous portions, and reasonably priced. The decor is beautiful for this quiet, intimate atmosphere, giving you the feeling of sitting in a cliff side cafe in Santorini! We were delighted to meet the owner, who was so welcoming and appreciative of our visit.”
