By having Internet access in Africa, we were able to hear about the horrific shootings in Las Vegas. There are many who offer solutions, like tighter gun control or better screening of certain people in our population. I happen to believe that this problem will not end until the Lord returns and puts away sin once and for all. As good as our law enforcement is, the shooter will always have the upper hand. We need to determine a way to stop the perpetrator or learn how to keep the greatest number of people from getting hurt. Each of us…

Manchester 24, L.C. Bird 21  In the heavy mist of a cool, dreary October night, the “game of the week” match-up could not have been any better, it was a nail-biter to the very end. They had some three-and-outs early on, and L.C. Bird managed to draw first blood. The Lancers quickly answered with a touchdown pass by Wake Forest commit Brendon Clark.  Later, Manchester scored in the fourth…

For the past month, the Matoaca MegaSite mania has dominated the news with no sign of slowing down. After three tense information sessions, county officials seem unwavering in their pursuit of forging ahead with constructing the site despite growing opposition and backlash from citizens. In complete contrast to the MegaSite controversy is the recent news that a Facebook data center will be headed to eastern Henrico County. Announced by Gov.Terry McAuliffe last week, the social media site will be investing $1 billion into a data center in the White Oak Technology Park. “I am proud to welcome Facebook to Henrico…
