Proud parents Greg and Kim Lanier last week accompanied their son Andrew Lanier as he signed a letter of intent to run cross country for Longwood University. Andrew is a standout on the Matoaca Warrior cross country and track teams where he qualified for regionals freshman through senior year in cross country and track. He was an 800 and 1600 meter specialist on the track team where he served as the distance team captain. Andrew was also named to the All District team each year of his high school career.
Andrew has pursued his interest in dentistry by attending the Chesterfield Technical High School dental program. He is a member of the Health Occupations Students of America and the Virginia state winner of the bio-medical debate competition. Andrew plans to major in biology at Longwood University.
