Would you like to have a picture you have taken featured in our paper? And maybe win a cash prize for it? The Village News would like to invite you to enter the Summer Fun Photo Contest. Grab your camera or smartphone, and see if you can snap a winning photo.
There will be four categories: people, landscapes, animals and plants. Everyone within the Village News readership is welcome to participate, except for Village News employees and their family members. The contest will run for eight weeks, beginning July 1 and ending August 26. There is no fee to enter. Participants may enter once in each category. Entries will be published weekly in the Village News and on the Village News website, villagenewsonline.com.
Prizes to be awarded at the end of the contest are:
Best in Show – $50
Readers’ Choice – $50
1st Place – $25
2nd Place – $15
3rd Place – $5
Voting may be done online at www.villagenewsonline.com, where a submission form will be also available. You may send your completed submission form with your photo entry to info @villagepublishing.com.
So try your hand at photography for some summer fun. Who knows? Maybe your photo could be the talk of the town. And a little extra cash is always welcome, right?
