Earl M Roberts Jr.

Earl M Roberts Jr, born March 12, 1975 of Prince George, Va. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2015. He is survived by his four sons; Samuel, Joseph, Daniel and Luke, his father Earl M. Roberts, his mother Joanne Wargofcak Roberts and his sisters Tish Martin (Kevin), Debbie O’Neill (Lin), Cindy Flesher (Tony), Becky Underwood (Richard), Sharon Burton, Elaine Shank (Stephen). He is also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends.

He was employed by Rain for Rent. An avid reader of westerns, the Civil War and history in general. Very beloved son and the greatest dad of his four boys, he loved hunting and fishing with them and just being outside doing things with them. Always taking time to look at the moon and the stars and share his deep appreciation for nature and the world around him.

Earl chose to make his living with his hands and loved the simple life, describing himself as a “country boy.” Though he considered himself a Lone Wolf, he forged many lifelong friendships with his quick wit and keen mind, and never failed to put the needs of others before his own.

Though he had little for himself, he always had something to share with everyone, whether it was homemade food or a just being there to listen and talk about your troubles. He dedicated his life to raising his four boys, and to sharing with them these values of selflessness, caring about others, and independence that were so important in his own life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033, Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Va. 23834. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
