Police are seeking two suspects who placed skimming devices on two ATMs in Chesterfield County.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, police responded to the SunTrust Bank branch at 13001 Hull Street Road where a skimming device was found by a customer. As the customer removed her card from the ATM, the skimming device came off. The customer then alerted the bank.
Surveillance cameras captured images of two suspects, a female and a male, when they returned to the ATM to attempt to remove the device. The suspects were traveling in a gray or silver 2003 Buick Rendezvous.
The first suspect is described as a white female, about 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 115 pounds. She had long black hair and an olive complexion.
The second suspect is described as a white male, about 22 to 30 years old.
On Thursday, Dec. 3, police received a report that a skimming device had been placed on an ATM at the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 7300 Jefferson Davis Highway. Surveillance video indicates the device was placed on the ATM at about 10 a.m. Thursday and removed about an hour later. Surveillance cameras captured images of a female suspect who appears to be the same female suspect involved in the Dec. 2 skimming incident.
Police encourage anyone who recently conducted an ATM transaction at either bank to pay particular attention to their bank statements. If they discover any irregularities, they should contact their financial institution and the police department.
