MATOACA
Matoaca Warriors are the Conference 12 2016 tournament champions and finished with 246.5 points. Anthony Helm won conference most outstanding wrestler, but Matoaca’s success can be attributed to their depth – they are sending a representative to the regional tournament in every weight class.

L.C. BIRD
L.C. Bird finished third in the Conference 12 tournament with 157 points. Notables include Alex Alford and Jamal Tuppince, who brought home the 138 and 220 class titles respectively. Kurtis Anderson, Nasir Mitchell, Jonas Kee and Jesse Chambliss were runners up in their weight class title matches.

MEADOWBROOK
Meadowbrook came in sixth place with 99 points. A very young, freshman laden Monarchs team performed admirably, and will send six wrestlers to the regional tournament. 285-pounder Javonte Tuppince put up a great fight against conference wrestler of the year Anthony Helm from Matoaca in the championship match.

THOMAS DALE
Thomas Dale High School put up a strong showing, finishing second overall in the Conference 3 Tournament with 176.5 points. Senior Angelo Scott won the 120 weight class. Freshman Caleb Oberly finished second in the 106 class. Senior Chris Collins finished second in 152, and Sophomore Jesse Jones finished second in 132.
