The Chesterfield County Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded early Friday morning, February 12, at 1:40 a.m. to 9466 Lost Forest Drive for the report of a vehicle fire that was spreading to the house. Fire crews arrived to find a truck in the driveway fully involved that had spread to the siding of the home. Crews worked rapidly to stop the fire from spreading to the rest of the home. It took fire crews approximately thirty minutes to get the fire under control.
The fire started in the engine compartment and appears to be accidental. The home only suffered exterior damage while the truck was a total loss. A second vehicle received minor damage due to the heat of the fire.
