The Chesterfield Food Bank is supporting families hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis that has developed with massive store closings and layoffs. The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors last week approved a contract for up to $1.01 million for a company to update the zoning ordinance. On March 11, the supervisors hired White and Smith LLC to develop a new ordinance and implement an online ordinance tool. That part of the contract totals $794,628. However, the company can earn an additional $216,280 to produce an in-house charrette, a public charrette and upgrades to the online ordinance tool.
