CHESTERFIELD COUNTY – Chesterfield County Police have identified the body of a man found on Saturday, April 14, in a wooded area in the 21600 block of Chesterfield Avenue in Ettrick. The man has been identified as Biniyam J. Eddington, 19, of the 3300 block of Main Street in Chesterfield. The body was discovered on April 14 at approximately 9:30 p.m. with the assistance of the Petersburg Bureau of Police and Virginia State University Police. At about 10:57 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, police responded to the Econo Lodge at 2310 Indian Hill Road for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police located the clerk, identified as Jerry Vadal Colyer, 43, of the 2700 block of Haden Avenue in Richmond, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. CHESTERFIELD COUNTY – Police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed the Car Stop Food Mart located at 7431 Jefferson Davis Highway at about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27. No one was injured during the incident. Police said the man approached the clerk and passed a note demanding money. Jeffery Katz, who started Jan. 2, recalled how one of his childhood mentors who lived next door influenced his life. Police responded to the 12000 block of Timber Trail Drive for a domestic assault at 7:26 p.m. Feb. 22. Officers were told that a domestic assault had occurred and that the victim fled to a neighbor’s house. Officers were told that the suspect also went to the neighbor’s house where the front door was kicked in and a weapon was fired.
