The road to success for Meadowbrook girls’ soccer has been a long one, and it is still an uphill climb. Boys Soccer The Monarchs fell in the second straight year to a tough Mills Godwin team in the regionals. After losing 2-1 in 2014, they fell 2-0 last season. A host of solid returning players and one of the deepest Meadowbrook squads will take aim at a Conference 12 championship in coach Gabriel Hochstetler’s third season. Boys Soccer Coming off a Conference 12 Championship and a 5A South region appearance, Matoaca boys soccer will look to quickly reload and fend off Meadowbrook once again for a championship. Last year’s 13-2-3 season culminated in a defensive battle, a 1-0 loss to Hermitage. Three key components of the team are gone: one of those is Davis Topping, Conference 12 Player of the year and 2nd Team All-State honoree. A pair of talented strikers roam the soccer field in Southern Chesterfield. The two youthful players are big drivers of offense and are among the leading goal scorers in the Central Region.
