The Kiwanis Club of Chester has scheduled the date for its Third Annual Kiwanis Chester 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk and Chester Community Health Expo. Presented by the Kiwanis Club of Chester and Bon Secour, the run/walk is scheduled Saturday, May 7 with an 8 a.m. start time. A local duo comprised of two Thomas Dale alums have been carrying a large portion of the offensive load for the Tigers in 2016. This past Thursday, Hampden-Sydney exploded for 16 runs in a victory over Lynchburg. A pair of sophomores, Maurice “Moe” Gothe and Brian Goodwin delivered the brunt of the offensive break out. Since he stepped on the field at L.C. Bird, Rayshard Ashby has been one of the most dominant players in the Central Region.
