0Chesterfield County has the opportunity to have a young ladies soccer team and athletes from swimming, track, gymnastics and tennis represent Chesterfield and the United States in the International Children’s Games. Chesterfield is one of the first two cities from the entire United States to be invited to the 2016 International Children’s Games (ICG) by the Mayor of New Taipei City, Taiwan. Christmas on the Green Dec. 19
0On Saturday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m, the Bermuda Baptist Praise Team and the Enon Baptist Praise Team will present a night of Christmas music, under the stars. Police Urge Motorists to Avoid Drinking and Driving
0The Chesterfield County Police Department is reminding all drivers not to drink and drive. During the month of November, Chesterfield County Police arrested 123 people for driving under the influence of alcohol. Motorists are reminded to have a designated driver when they have been drinking. If you think you have had too much to drink, you probably have, and you should not get behind the wheel. When you are under the influence of alcohol, your driving skills, including judgment, coordination, and response time, are diminished. Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Still Important after 2013
0In 2013 a Referendum was approved by voters to either replace or renovate 11 schools and the school administration building. While initially the projects were spread over a nine-year period, the projects now extend only seven years. “Our school projects are remaining the same, the schools in the original CIP (Capital Improvement Program) that were in years 8 and 9 have been moved up to be completed in the 7 year time frame.
