Ant Harris Added to Vikings Active Roster
1Former L.C. Bird safety and quarterback, Ant Harris, got some long-awaited and well-deserved news last week. The former UVA standout was added to the Minnesota Vikings active roster. Matoaca FBLA Raises $3,000 for ASK
0During the week of November 16 through 20, Matoaca’s FBLA sponsored their annual “Feather the Turkey” event to raise money for the Virginia FBLA State Service Project, ProjectASK. For the past five years, Matoaca’s FBLA has sponsored this event to support ASK, a non-profit organization started by parents of children receiving cancer treatments at the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Forty years later, ASK has now grown to be comprised of parents, health-professionals, and other concerned citizens. Community input wanted as search for new superintendent begins
0The Chesterfield County School Board has hired BWP & Associates to conduct a national search for the next superintendent of Chesterfield County Public Schools. BWP & Associates representatives Dr. Kevin Castner and Dr. Wayne Harris attended a recent School Board meeting to discuss the search and selection process. BWP will seek a successor to Dr. Marcus Newsome, who announced in the fall that he would retire at the end of the 2015-16 school year.
