L. C. Bird announces hall of fame class of 2015
0The L. C. Bird Hall of Fame committee would like to announce the newest members to be elected to the Sports Hall of Fame. They are: Amy Bradley – basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis and track; Emily Michalek – soccer; Alex Brown – golf; John Taylor – football and baseball; Glenn Beasley – longtime volunteer and supporter of sports programs. The group will be introduced at the Bird football game on Friday, Sept. 25, and inducted at a banquet on Sept. 26.

4-H Youth Water Rocket Competition
0This summer, Chesterfield County 4-H will be hosting a youth water rocket design competition. This competition will be open to both middle and elementary school students and will culminate in a final rocket launch extravaganza near the end of summer.
