Fireworks at Fairgrounds July 4
Celebrate our independence with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. The event, held at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds (across from L.C. Bird High School), includes an activity area for children and special entertainment.
Pay Day for Shrek
Bermuda District Improvement Fund was used to subsidize the School Board by transferring $5,000 to offset the cost of producing “Shrek The Musical” at Thomas Dale High School.
CCA Takes Over Village Hall
The Chester Community Association has taken over the small building on the Chester Village Green as a gathering place for the community. The building was named the Village Hall by local Realtor® Jim Daniels.
Mother Nature at Work
Last Thursday’s lightning storm provided quite a light show, but was more than an inconvenience to over 14,000 Dominion Power customers who were out of power for more than two hours.
Rt. 10 Counstruction Underway
Route 10 paving is underway. When complete, highway striping will mark both narrower lanes and bike lanes on both sides. A reduction of speed was implemented last year in preparation for the new lanes.
