The Chester and Richmond Civitan Clubs recently joined forces to assist the Greater Richmond ARC and Camp Baker in Chesterfield in upgrading their respective kitchen facilities. With a matching donation from the Chesapeake Civitan Foundation the two clubs donated $21,000 for the recent upgrades. The Chester Civitan Club was once the prime supporter of Camp Baker. Today, as much of Camp Baker’s support comes through the Richmond ARC, efforts have become more streamlined and focused. The ARC and Camp Baker serve families and individuals to create life-fulfilling opportunities for those with developmental disabilities.
