The Kiwanis Club of Chester has been unable to meet due to the COVID 19 event, but that has not curtailed its commitment to assist the community or the children of Chester.  They recently presented the Chesterfield Food Bank with a check for $2,500, which was in addition to the $1,000 previously donated.  The Chesterfield Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry was given $1,000 previously and will be given another $1,000 to continue its work helping those in need during this extraordinary time.

Each year they have presented a deserving senior from Thomas Dale High School with a scholarship.  This year, the commitment is changed somewhat.  The club would like to offer a full two-year scholarship to a deserving senior from Thomas Dale High School or L C. Bird High School who plans to attend an accredited community college for an associate degree.  Candidates must have at least a 3.0 GPA to apply.  Any candidate who wants to be considered must contact their his or her school guidance department for further information.
