0L.C. Bird Girls (6-1 on season) L.C. Bird’s unselfish play on both ends of the court led them to two victories in the tournament. The Skyhawks dove for loose balls on defense and made the extra pass on offense to get open looks. Jaden Watkins showed off her passing skills, setting up her teammates well throughout the tournament, while still averaging 16 points per game. 0The L.C. Bird football team was in full force on the Team 804 roster in the I-64 Bowl at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex on Saturday. That Skyhawks list included running back Shedrick McCall, running back Demetri Atkins, offensive lineman Gavin Brennan, defensive lineman Q Armstrong and linebackers Rashard Ashby and Isaiah Moore. 0MEGA PROJECT MOVES AHEAD IN CHESTERFIELD Tranlin Inc. announced recently it has awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. to design the site work for possibly the largest business in Chesterfield. The award was issued to further develop VASTLY’s (Shandong Tranlin Paper Co. Ltd.) greenfield construction mega-project in Chesterfield County.
