Thomas Dale High School alumni are in the planning stages of a mega reunion that will bring old friends together from 10 graduating classes.
It has been 47 years for the Class of 1968 and 36 years for the Class of 1977. Many alumni had asked for a mega reunion, and plans are being made to have the biggest reunion the Thomas Dale Knights have ever planned.
If you are a graduate from one of the classes gathering, 1968 through 1977, this reunion is your chance to seek out lost friends from your high school years where you may have participated in sports, clubs, band or chorus with classmates from the upper and under classes. The reunion will take place on Saturday, October 3.
There was not a venue large enough available for the date, so from 6:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. in Old Towne Petersburg at the Old Towne Civic Center, a live DJ will be playing those songs from long ago – “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “It’s Your Thing,” “Aquarius,” “Layla,” “Stairway to Heaven,” “Papa Was A Rolling Stone”, “Nights in White Satin,” “My Girl,” “Free Bird,” “We Are The Champions” and many others that will have you cutting a rug just like in your sock hop days in our saddle oxfords and loafers after a winning Knights football game.
“The TD Alumni want you to relive those wonderful high school times and memories with your classmates,” said Judy King Crocker, Class of 1972. “Bring your appetite and quench your thirst to savor the delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar catered by Butler’s Unique Catering.”
Representatives from each class are working to locate you. Email [email protected] for the reunion registration form or call Kathy Dosier Canada (804)241-2811 or Judy King Crocker (804) 243-0335. Information is also available on Facebook.com at Thomas Dale Reunion 1968-1977 and Classmates.com.
