TD Alum Reavis bound for JUCO
After being dismissed from Virginia Tech’s football program and losing an appeal to be reinstated, Thomas Dale alum C.J. Reavis announced via Twitter that he would be attending the #1 junior college program in the country, East Mississippi for the next academic year. From there, Reavis figures to play at a major college program again. Reavis made some key plays as a freshman and, according to many sources, had an inside track to start at rover for Virginia Tech in the upcoming season after a monster spring game.
Ervin leaves Norfolk State
L.C. Bird alum Terrance Ervin announced earlier this week that he was leaving Norfolk State due to personal reasons in a story broken first by the Village News on twitter last week. Ervin said that he would listen to offers from schools near to the area and, depending, figures to possibly suit up for a team this season. Ervin led the Skyhawks to their first and second ever state championships, committing to Liberty early in his senior year before ultimately deciding to play at Norfolk State, where he threw for 1,310 yards and eight touchdowns, appearing in 12 games as a freshman.
C.J. Miles makes college choice
L.C. Bird shooting guard C.J. Miles announced his commitment Saturday afternoon to Roanoke College. Jack Herron of Vantage Hoops reported the news first. Miles was one of the top marksmen in the area from behind the three-point stripe and had many schools interested in his services. Miles joins Kenny Williams (UNC) and Thomas Taylor (Wabash Valley Junior College) players ascending from the Skyhawks to the next level.
