The Chesterfield County Public Library will host its seventh annual Teen Read Week Masquerade on Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Central Library, 9501 Lori Rd, Chesterfield.
The theme of this year’s event is Myths & Legends – based on characters, books and movies such as, Percy Jackson and the Olympians; Thor and Loki; and the Arabian Nights. The event will include dancing, food, games, prizes and free books. Teens can win gift cards or the grand prize, a Kindle Fire.
Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative. The Young Adult Library Services Association created the program to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users.
