Former Green Bay Packers fullback, Super Bowl XXXI champion and Thomas Dale graduate William “Boogie” Henderson visited Thomas Dale High School on October 23, and presented a commemorative Wilson Golden Football. The presentation was part of the Super Bowl High School Honor Roll that celebrates high schools and communities that have contributed to Super Bowl history.
The NFL Foundation provides the schools with a new character education curriculum and the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $5,000 to help support and grow their football programs. The NFL Foundation has invested $1 million towards the campaign.
This is the first year for the “On the Fifty” campaign as the NFL celebrates Super Bowl 50.
