The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify two suspects involved in a robbery and shooting.
During the evening of Wednesday, September 23, a Chesterfield County Police officer saw two male subjects acting suspiciously in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Walmsley Boulevard, near the Richmond City border. The officer watched the males engage in suspicious activity which was later determined to be a robbery of a person at the Rainbow Motel. The Chesterfield officer followed the men at a distance, but one of those men turned and fired a shot at the officer, eventually getting away in the area of Lancelot Avenue, just north of the motel.
Both suspects were black males between 20 and 30 years of age. The one who fired the shot was between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a thin build and a dark complexion. He had short dreadlocked hair, with the dreadlocks tied back using a rubber band. The second male was between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches in height. He was light complexioned and had red colored hair and beard.
