A ‘dog box’ and cooler were recently stolen from a firefighter’s pickup. On Thursday, Oct. 11, a firefighter with Enon Volunteer Fire Department was busy working when she discovered that she was the victim of theft. Around midnight between running calls, the firefighter went to her truck and discovered that her dog box, along with a pink Yeti Roadie 20 cooler, was stolen from the back of the truck. The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve several robberies throughout Chesterfield County. Between Thursday, June 30, and Wednesday, Aug. 10, Chesterfield police responded to four armed robberies at local 7-Eleven convenience stores. In each case, cash was taken. In two of the cases, tobacco products, including Newport cigarettes and cigars, were also stolen. None of the victims were physically injured. On Aug. 21, alarms activated at the Virginia Commonwealth Bank branch on Courthouse Road after two men shattered one of the building’s side windows. Chesterfield Police responded to the scene and, once inside, officers found many of the drawers and cabinets had been broken open and ransacked. On Thursday, Aug. 11, at about 2:30 p.m., a woman was shopping at Stein Mart on Commonwealth Center Parkway. An unknown woman began to ask her questions about clothing. During the conversation, the unknown woman leaned against the victim, but the victim did not realize she was being pickpocketed. The victim discovered her wallet was missing when her bank contacted her about unusual purchases being made with her credit card. When detectives looked into the incident, they learned a white male…

On July 5, Chesterfield County Police received a call from a resident whose bank had notified her that her account had a negative balance. Upon investigating the claim, she discovered that an unauthorized transaction had occurred at the Wells Fargo on Midlothian Turnpike. Thanks to excellent surveillance footage, Chesterfield detectives were able to trace the illegal transactions to two suspects. Loss prevention personnel saw these men attempting to use multiple credit cards to purchase pre-paid Visa gift cards. On July 10, unknown suspects entered the Raceway gas station in the 1900 block of West Hundred Road. While investigating the scene, Chesterfield County police discovered the suspects had entered the business by cutting a hole in the building’s exterior wall.
