Police are searching for a man who robbed the Raceway at 5600 Jefferson Davis Highway at about 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8. No one was injured during the incident.
Police said the business was not yet open when an employee saw a man outside seeking assistance. When the employee acknowledged the man, he displayed a weapon, threatened the employee and forced his way into the business. Once inside, the suspect took cash. The suspect then fled the store in the direction of the Food Lion at 5702 Jefferson Davis Highway.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 30-40 years old and 6 feet tall with an average build. He had a black patchy beard. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and gray camouflage pants.
