Charming BBQ Restaurant in the Heart of Chester
Satisfying the taste buds of happy customers and full stomachs at a great price, Sibley’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant & Catering has been serving great bar-b-que and southern cooking to the Chester community since its opening in April, 2000. Located at the corner of Winfree Street and West Hundred Road, favorites for its loyal customer base tend to be the hickory smoked pork bar-b-que, ribs, brisket and chicken. Other favorite choices include their pork chops, catfish and their homemade pies.
Sibley’s Bar-b-Que is a family affair and the Sibley story goes further back than the 15 years the restaurant has been open.

Charlie Sibley had always loved cooking up bar-b-que for the family using family recipes handed down over the years and coming up with his own sauce simply by taste. He began catering small events with his bar-b-que and established a strong clientele. He decided to take the next step and open up a restaurant with the help of family and quickly earned a reputation for great bar-b-que filling; the seats of their small restaurant in the Rite-Aid Shopping Center. After a few years the family decided they needed a bigger space and moved to their current location. The bigger store has brought them more customers and ample room to fit everybody in and feed them right.
The family lost their patriarch in 2012, but Charlie’s reputation for great bar-b-que, southern cooking and good service continues under the direction of his son, Chuck Sibley. The bar-b-que is cooked in their smoker daily and can be served pulled or chopped. The ribs are tender and juicy and cooked to perfection, and the chicken is served lightly brushed with their Virginia red sauce. The beef brisket is slow cooked with their blend of spices and a reputation of “you gotta try it.”
Additional favorites on the menu include their Southern Fried Catfish, marinated and fried to perfection; and their Southern Fried Pork Chops, breaded with their blend of spices.
