The Chesterfield County Public Library and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) will present a program called “The African-American Art at VMFA.” The program is one of a series of activities planned during Black History Month. It will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Meadowdale Library, 4301 Meadowdale Blvd.
VMFA chief educator Karen Getty will discuss art and artists who focus on African-American life and history. An exhibit called “A New Mosaic: African American Art from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts” will also be on display at the library from Feb. 1 through Feb. 29.
