Auditions for Senior Idol (Seniors Got Talent) of Chesterfield, Greater Richmond and Tri-Cities areas are being held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 in the Community Room of Lucy Corr Village, 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd. Registrations will be taken at the door. This will be The Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield ‘s fifth annual fundraising event.
Residents 50 years and older who are entertainers, comedians, dancers, ventriloquists, musicians, singers, or seniors with unique talents, are encouraged to sign up for this friendly competition showcasing the talents of local seniors. Twelve contestants will be chosen to compete in the final Senior Idol event to be held Friday, May 13 at Victory Tabernacle Church, 11700 Genito Rd.
All proceeds will benefit The Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield, a non-profit organization of senior adult volunteers, who donate their time and expertise to assist other senior adults with transportation to medical appointments, and help with minor home repairs. The center also offers a variety of classes during fall, winter and spring.
