The Kiwanis Club of Chester has scheduled the date for its Third Annual Kiwanis Chester 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk and Chester Community Health Expo. Presented by the Kiwanis Club of Chester and Bon Secour, the run/walk is scheduled Saturday, May 7 with an 8 a.m. start time.
With a start/finish at the Chester Library located in the Village Green at 11800 Centre St.; the one-mile run will have a start at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K run/walk at 8:30 a.m.
All ages can participate in the one-mile run/walk. All participants will receive a 1-Mile t-shirt, sponsor giveaways and all children will receive a participation ribbon.
The 5K Run/Walk course is comprised of road with some hills. There is a 500-participant cap. All participants will receive a 5K t-shirt, race number and sponsor giveaways. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers and the top male and female Masters (40 and over). Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Lucky Foot gift certificates will also be awarded to overall and age group finishers.
Entry fees are $25 for the 5K Run/Walk and $15 for the 1-Mile Run/Walk.
